Spring officially began on Monday, March 20, at 4:24 PM, our time. The
hours of sunlight and the hours of darkness roughly match at about 12
hours.

How does faith feel? And how is it supposed to feel? For example, we might think of a scripture verse like Nehemiah 8:10, “The joy of the Lord is your
strength.”

I’ve never been very deeply involved in construction. When I still lived
at home, my dad would take on house repair projects to supplement his rather meager pastor’s income (it was a different day) and I helped.

The turn of the calendar each year always puts us in a reflective mood. We look back on 2023. How did it go?

At the end of Mark 10, we find the story of blind Bartimaeus. It appears that Bartimaeus lived in Jericho, which is down the mountain to the east of Jerusalem about 25 miles.

Two of our children ran cross country during their school years. It’s a very interesting sport, with significant amounts of strategy and mental preparation.
